Dr. Lauren Mitchell is an endodontic specialist with over 20 years of experience, trained at Northwestern and Columbia, and dedicated to teaching and community service.
About Dr. Lauren Mitchell
Dr. Lauren Mitchell received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Northwestern University in Chicago. She completed her General Practice Residency Program at Westside VAMC and University of Illinois Chicago-affiliated hospitals. Dr. Mitchell served as the Dental Director for the Sydney Hillman Health Center, which provided services to Chicago union groups. She also practiced in private practice. After a few years practicing general dentistry, Dr. Mitchell attended Columbia University’s Post-Doctoral Residency Program in Endodontics at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center.
Dr. Mitchell received training at the Northwestern and Columbia University Dental and Medical Centers from some of the most distinguished doctors and scientists in dentistry, specifically in endodontics, as well as in medical, human, and basic sciences.
Dr. Mitchell has been a scientific presenter at the prestigious Chicago Midwinter Dental Meeting.
She believes in giving back to the community through teaching. For 15 years, she served as adjunct faculty for post-doctoral endodontic residents and was an oral board examiner for endodontic residents at Nova Southeastern University School of Dental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale. Dr. Mitchell also served as president of the South Florida Endodontic Study Club for five years.
Dr. Mitchell practiced dentistry in New York and Chicago before moving to Florida, where she has been practicing endodontics for over twenty years.

Dr. Lauren Mitchell is still active in the dentistry community. She is a professional member of the American Board of Endodontics, American Association of Endodontics, Florida Association of Endodontics, American Dental Association, and Florida Dental Association.
Interests
When Dr. Mitchell isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters.
