Fotona LightWalker Dental Laser
Advanced Endodontic Group is equipped with the Fotona LightWalker — a dual-wavelength dental laser system that represents the most advanced laser technology available in endodontics today. The LightWalker combines two laser wavelengths (Er:YAG and Nd:YAG) in a single system, giving our endodontists the ability to address both hard and soft tissue with exceptional precision.
During root canal treatment, the LightWalker's proprietary SWEEPS® (Shock Wave Enhanced Emission Photoacoustic Streaming) and SSP (Super Short Pulse) technologies generate powerful photoacoustic waves within the irrigating solution inside the canal system. These waves stream the solution deep into lateral canals, curved anatomy, and dentinal tubules — areas that traditional instruments and chemical irrigants alone cannot fully reach.
Dual Wavelength
Er:YAG for precise ablation and Nd:YAG for deep disinfection and coagulation — two complementary wavelengths in one system.
SWEEPS® Irrigation
Laser-activated photoacoustic streaming reaches areas that files and chemical rinses cannot — including lateral canals and dentinal tubules.
Minimally Invasive
The fiber tip is positioned safely in the pulp chamber, allowing simultaneous treatment of the entire canal system without risk of apical extrusion.
The result is a significantly more thorough cleaning and disinfection of the root canal system compared to conventional methods alone. This enhanced disinfection supports better healing outcomes, reduces the risk of persistent infection, and gives your treated tooth the best possible long-term prognosis.
Who benefits most from laser-assisted treatment? While laser technology enhances any root canal procedure, it is especially valuable for teeth with complex anatomy, retreatment cases where a previous root canal has not healed, and situations involving persistent infection. Our endodontists will recommend laser-assisted treatment when it offers a meaningful advantage for your specific case.
The Fotona LightWalker works alongside our surgical microscopes, CBCT 3D imaging, ultrasonic instrumentation, and digital radiography — giving our specialists a complete, integrated technology platform for the highest standard of endodontic care.
