Endodontist That Accepts UnitedHealthcare in Miami
Advanced Endodontic Group accepts UnitedHealthcare dental plans at both our Miami Lakes and Bay Harbor Islands offices. We also accept UMR, Optum, and Equitable plans, which are administered under the UnitedHealthcare umbrella. If you have UHC coverage and need a root canal, we verify your benefits before your visit.
Which UnitedHealthcare Plans We Accept
We accept the following UnitedHealthcare and affiliated plans:
- UnitedHealthcare Dental PPO
- UnitedHealthcare Medicare dental plans
- UMR, a third-party administrator owned by UnitedHealthcare that handles many self-funded employer plans
- Optum dental plans
- Equitable (UHC), dental plans administered through the UnitedHealthcare network
If your ID card shows UMR, Optum, or Equitable, your dental network is likely UnitedHealthcare, and we accept it. UHC Dental HMO plans may require a referral from your assigned general dentist. Call us with your member ID to confirm.
How UnitedHealthcare Coverage Works for Endodontic Treatment
Most dental plans classify root canal treatment as a major or basic restorative service. What you pay out of pocket depends on your specific UnitedHealthcare plan: your annual deductible, whether it has been met, your coinsurance percentage for endodontic procedures, your annual maximum, and whether you are seeing an in-network provider. Because these details vary by plan and employer group, our team verifies your benefits before your appointment and gives you a written estimate of your expected cost.
If your plan requires a referral or pre-authorization for specialist care, we coordinate that with your general dentist. If a treatment plan changes during your visit, we update the estimate before proceeding. See our root canal cost page for a general overview of what affects pricing.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
To make your first visit smooth, bring the following:
- Your insurance card (physical or digital)
- A photo ID
- A list of current medications
- Any referral paperwork or X-rays from your general dentist
Do not delay an urgent visit because you are missing paperwork. If you are in pain, call us and we will work with what you have. We offer same-day emergency appointments at both offices.
