Which Delta Dental Plans We Accept

We accept three Delta Dental plan types:

• Delta Dental PPO and Delta Dental Premier, accepted at both Miami Lakes and Bay Harbor Islands
• Delta Dental Medicare plans, accepted at both offices
• DeltaCare USA HMO, accepted at our Miami Lakes office only

DeltaCare HMO members must be assigned to our Miami Lakes office and typically need a referral from their primary dentist for specialist care. PPO and Premier members may schedule directly. If you are not sure which Delta plan you have, check your ID card or call us with your member ID.

How Delta Dental Coverage Works for Endodontic Treatment

Most dental plans classify root canal treatment as a major or basic restorative service. What you pay out of pocket depends on your specific Delta Dental plan: your annual deductible, whether it has been met, your coinsurance percentage for endodontic procedures, your annual maximum, and whether you are seeing an in-network provider. Because these details vary by plan and employer group, our team verifies your benefits before your appointment and gives you a written estimate of your expected cost.

• Can I use DeltaCare HMO at your Bay Harbor office?

  No. DeltaCare HMO is accepted at our Miami Lakes office only. Delta Dental PPO, Premier, and Medicare plans are accepted at both locations.

• Do I need a referral to see an endodontist with Delta Dental?

  Many Delta Dental PPO plans allow you to see a specialist without a referral. Some HMO or DHMO plans do require one from your assigned primary dentist. Call our office with your member ID and we will check your plan's requirements before you come in.

• How much will my root canal cost with Delta Dental?
